When You're in a HOLE

Copyright 1993 by Dan and Brigitte Laskowski

Well you're in a hole, without a goal.
The rent ain't paid. Where do you go?
You lost your job. It's all crashing in.
Sleepless nights, no rest within.

What does life mean? Why are we here?
Why is there greed? Why is there fear?
Why are some poor and hungry and cold,
While others count their pots of gold?

So as you blame the world,
For your state of woe,
You suddenly realize,
Who's your foe.
As you gaze across the room at the mirror,
You see YOURSELF, the foe that you fear!

WHEN YOU'RE IN A HOLE AND CAN'T GET OUT.
YOU'RE READY FOR THE ONE I'M TALKING ABOUT.
CONFESS HIS LOVE. CONFESS YOUR SIN.
TURN FROM YOUR WAYS AND HE'LL LET YOU IN.
WHEN YOU'RE IN A HOLE WITH YOUR BACK TO THE WALL.
PRAY TO THE ONE WHO'S LORD OF ALL.
HE'S THE PRINCE OF PEACE AND MIGHTY ONE.
HIS NAME IS JESUS GOD'S ONLY SON.

Now that you know the monster's within,
The blame ain't on others.
You know you have sinned.
There's one you can go to, to make it alright,
To drive out the darkness,
And bring in the light.
