The greeting you received while opening up this page is similar to MANY now on the internet. Those spreading ILLEGAL MP3s feel that all they must do is place that "24 HOUR NOTICE" and then they can GIVE AWAY as many mp3s as the end user can GRAB!
Their new strategy is to DIVIDE AND CONQUER and they brag that there are more than 100 similar places to get free MP3s. In other words "Try and shut us ALL down."
For the independent artist and small music producer there is a very simple way to fight these pirates. Artists and small record labels need to lobby for MP3 FINES LEGISLATION.
Speedy legislation could ultimately bypass the courts and fine EACH AND EVERY ONE of these MP3 places with $100 fines for EACH unauthorized song on their server, and make it THEIR EXPENSE to pay for lawyers for their defence.
Implementation would be easy. The OWNER of the COPYRIGHT would only need to NOTIFY the governing body of the infringement ,to begin an investigation, and shortly thereafter litigation would begin.
These things could be pushed through like paying for speeding tickets downtown. If they don't pay, their websites will be pulled down by ERASING THE ENTIRE CONTENTS ON THEIR SERVER.
If the website renames files or reposts the illegal MP3s again, to avoid detection a second time, they will be
SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY
